Figurative Language: Personification

Figurative Language helps a text come alive. It allows the writer/creator to create strong imagery in the reader/viewers mind as they try to infer what is happening and make connections to self, text and world. In order to understand 'Personification' a little better I would like you to watch this short video clip and then complete the following tasks:
- What is personification?
- Why do writers use it?
- Use the following non-human things and add personification in a sentence to bring them to life: trees/the tree; clock; flowers; waves; chocolate; car/the car; fire
