"No", yelled my little sister Zoe as I woke up feeling annoyed. Then out of the blue I heard this big bang! I got up and slowly walked down the hallway then down the stairs. The silence was deafening. I went to the kitchen and found my sister. "There is no ice-cream", cried Zoe. I told her it was alright and sent her back to bed. Why was she out of bed anyway? I went back up the stairs to see if she was in bed. I looked closer and she wasn't! What was I going to do? Where on earth could she be?

Rosie was playing on her go-cart and WHOOSH the house fell down. Rosie thought to herself 'what is happening?' Then the shed fell down. "Aaaahhhh!" She started driving in circles then Lily came in and screamed, 'What is happening?" I answered back, "I have no idea!" The silence was deafening. No one was talking. I said to Lily, "We have to leave while nothing is happening". So they ran and ran and ran, and then everything stopped so Lily said, "Do you think we should go back?" "I wouldn't, answered Rosie. So they lived there happily ever after.
Ellie has four friends, Homer, Kevin, Fi and Corrie. One morning they wave goodbye to their parents and head up into the hills to camp for a while. But when they get home they had no idea that their lives were about to change.
Will their worlds change forever? Would they fight? Would they give up everything? Would they sacrifice life itself? After the gun shots rained down, the silence was deafening. All the power turned off. Planes were flying in darkness. The children were trapped inside with only their horrible thoughts to keep them company. Who would save them? Tayla has been wanting a miniature goat for ages. She has been asking her parents since Christmas 2013 and it is now 2015! One sunny Saturday morning Tayla asked her parents, "Mum, Dad I wanted to ask you....can I please, please, please, please get a goat? I've asked and asked for ages!" The silence was deafening. "Honey, you know what we said, we need a new house first. What would the poor neighbours think if we had a goat in the yard?" explained Mum for the 800th time. Tayla ended up getting a goat 3 years later.
Long ago there lived a bird. This bird was a bright purple bird called Blossom. Blossom was very bored and had nothing much to do in her life. One day a dark blue bird stopped at the nest and asked Blossom if she had seen an orange bird come past. "Who are you?" asked Blossom. "I am Fred", he said. "I have seen an orange bird fly by. Why?" asked Blossom. "Well", said Fred quietly. The silence was deafening. "I'm looking for a secret land called Lollyland", said Fred suddenly. "What on earth is Lollyland? Where is it?" asked Blossom.
The school bell rang as I walked down the corridor. There was no one around, the silence was deafening. I walked into the classroom, it was empty. The carpet was gone and all that was left were floorboards and the chalk board. Pieces of the walls were missing and the windows were smashed. I felt a shiver down my spine. 'What happened here', I think to myself. A big gust of wind blew but it sounded like a ghost. Now I was really getting creeped out. I went outside, the play ground was gone. I sat alone wondering what would happen next.
I was playing netball and is started pouring rain out of nowhere and then everyone started spewing. I was so confused. There was lightning and thunder. We all ran into the sheds.
"What? Is what I said. Lightning struck. BANG! The silence was deafening. I looked over the road houses were falling down. I started crying. My sister ran out and got shocked by the lightning. Then everyone went and got shocked by lightning. I cried even more! "What is happening?" I cried. Then Rosie walked over munching on an apple. I fall, fall to the ground. I woke up, wow! Brianna and Stacey tacked up their horses Nipper and Sandy and led them into the arena to start warming them up. When they had finished they set off to Rocky Ridge Mountains to have their picnic. On their way past the camping site they heard strange sounds. "What was that?" Whispered Stacey. "I'm not sure", mumbled Brianna. "The horses are spooked", cried Stacey. Suddenly they heard a bang! The horses galloped down the track past the old, creepy house and onto River valley. They slowed their horses to a halt to catch a breath. Everything went quiet. The silence was deafening.
It was the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour, that meant it was Remembrance Day. The whole school was out the front of the school getting ready for a minutes silence. So all of a sudden the silence was deafening as the clock hit 11 o'clock. It was so random. There were crickets chirping, and then someone started screaming. I didn't know who it was but everyone looked over at him, I was thinking in my head 'that would be embarrassing if it was me'. No one laughed at him except for the preps, grade 1's and 2's, because they aren't mature.
