For one of your Literacy Matrix tasks this fortnight you will need to watch he two clips below. Both clips are of author B.J. Novak reading his book 'The Book With No Words'. The first clip begins the reading at the start of the book and the second picks up where the other left off, so you will need to make sure that you watch both of them before responding to comprehension questions. I absolutely love this book and I love the reaction of the children listening to the story, it makes me laugh every time, I hope you enjoy it too! Once you have finished watching please answer the following questions by submitting a comment on this post (Please make sure that you check your spelling, capital letters and punctuation).
Q1) Why do you think the children find the book so hysterically funny?
Q2) What do you think makes this book so special?
Q3) If I said this book shows you just how powerful words are, would you agree or disagree? Why? Give a detailed answer here using examples from the clip to support you.
Q4) Why do you think B.J Novak's book appeals to a younger audience instead of an older one?
Q5) Do you think there are times when pictures in a book are important? When? Why?
