This term for our inquiry unit we are investigating the essential question 'Who or what has shaped our Australian identity?' In order to establish what we already know about this topic and what we are keen to find out, the children in 5/6S used the computer program Wallwisher to brainstorm all of the prior knowledge within their own class. In the short time frame that we had available I think we made a good start. What do you already know about our essential question?

Leah - fabulous essential question. Our big idea for term 2 is Australian history - we may steal your question. It's great. Must check out some of the web 2.0 tools on your blog too. Might spend the weekend doing just that. Have a great weekend. - Marg

I like this bulletin board of ideas. Very fun! As I am from the United States, I learned quite a bit about Australia already just from this post. Thank you for helping me learn! I'm wondering about your note regarding Amelia Earhart, though. I am 99.99% certain she is American. Am I mistaken?
