What are the different activities you use?
What is your favourite Literacy activity?
Welcome back everyone to what is hopefully another exciting term filled with lots of learning, lots of laughter and loads of fun! We have started off the term with a few changes to our weekly program with PE now changed to Wednesday, while Library and Art remain on Thursdays. We also have a different look to our Literacy block having introduced a modified 'Daily 5' program to allow the students to take some ownership over their learning and to provide some choice in the learning opportunities provided. One of the activities students completed last week as an introduction to the strategies we use when reading, was to analyse and observe the teachers reading strategies...that's right, MY reading strategies! Students used running record style observations of my reading and then discussed what they we are to tell about me as a reader! Take a look at some of the observations below! Do you use The Daily 5 in your classroom?
