Blogging within your own classroom or own school is one thing, but engaging with students and classes from various locations across the globe is another and this is a motivating factor when children are blogging. It needs to be authentic and motivating, they need to know that their writing and their posts are being received by others outside of the classroom and sometimes lets face it, it can be a long and boring wait trying to drum up people willing to take the time to comment. Last year a few of my students were lucky enough to receive some comments and a result of my heckling on Twitter. |
