The task on your literacy matrix asks you to watch this short clip about 'The Ring of Fire and answer some questions to test you understanding of it. The questions are listed on your matrix and should be answered in your English books. Make sure that you write the question number and then do your best to combine the question and the answer together.

I'm sorry we couldn't comment on the Genius Hour part so I'll do it here. I thought the kid in the video was very charismatic. The format of the Genius Hour project is interesting; I look forward to seeing how our kids are actually going to utilize the skills they develop from this exercise.

Hi Jane, yes sorry about that…when I created a page I made it a static one instead of allowing a comment function like the blog has. The idea behind Genius Hour is to encourage children to follow passions, think big and restore the creativity that tends to get stifled in children as they get older. As we are just starting out there are sure to be a few learning curves, but when the kids are truly engaged it is amazing what they can do. Who knows we may have the next creative genius amongst us. Thanks for commenting!
